Peggy Martin

Few roses carry a story like the Peggy Martin Rose. Named for a Louisiana gardener whose rose survived two weeks submerged under saltwater during Hurricane Katrina, this climber came back blooming the following spring and has been winning hearts ever since.

She produces massive, cascading clusters of small, fully double blooms in a vivid, deep pink that blanket her canes from base to tip each spring. Her medium-green, glossy foliage stays healthy and vibrant season to season, and her naturally arching habit makes her a showstopper on a fence, pergola, garden wall, or sturdy trellis. 

Mature plants reach 15 to 20 feet with outstanding disease resistance; she shrugs off black spot and powdery mildew without fuss. Drought-tolerant once established and perfectly at home in the heat and humidity of the South, she is one of the most resilient, rewarding climbers we have ever grown. We are thrilled to offer her for the first time.
