Hot Pink Striato
Note: Ranunculus ship starting in late September to late October based on availability and your zone, unlike other products.
Give your garden a big boost of color with this lovely Ranunculus featuring fully double blooms in hot pink with black-red borders that create a stunning contrast. Growing 12” to 24” tall, it makes an excellent cut flower and attracts pollinators. It’s equally happy in a garden or container and thrives in partial shade to full sun. It blooms in late spring for zones 8-10 to early summer for zones 4-7. In zones 8-10 it grows as a perennial, while in zones 4-7, corms should be lifted, dried, and replanted each spring.
Hot Pink Striato is sold in packs of 10 for fall planting.
Planting Instructions:
Plant Ranunculus in the fall for zones 8-10 for spring blooms. In zones 4-7, store the hardened corms in a cool, dark place and plant in early spring for early summer blooms.
-
Soak corms in room temperature water for 3-4 hours; avoid oversoaking.
-
Choose an area with full sun for planting.
-
Add compost and a balanced fertilizer to your soil.
-
Plant corms 9” apart, 2-3” deep, with tentacles facing down in the soil.
- Water after planting and continue weekly watering to ensure the corms do not dry out for the remainder of the growing season.
